Saturday I was in Albuquerque for the MS walk. We had parked in a hotel parking lot and were walking to the event when I spotted a "parking lot sale". The sale was just beginning to be set up as it was early in the morning. I spied a white decorative bird cage on a table near the street and said to my friend Andra, "OOO I want that!" But we were on a mission so I just kept walking. A few hours later I was on my way back to my truck and I spotted the bird cage still sitting on the table... like it was just waiting for me. It had an original price tag of 19.99 on it, so I picked it up to find out what they were going to charge for it. At the same time I saw a white metal CD rack (at the time I didn't really know what it was, I just knew I liked it). Once I found someone to help me I was able to get both pieces for $9.00. Yip, $9.00 for BOTH! I'm not 100% sure what I will do with them... but they will live in either my craftroom, or come summer my back porch. Any thoughts?

First of all these are awesome finds!!! LOVE THE BIRD CAGE!!!! If you had some spare time and made 3 dimensional paper flowers and a bird to sit on a little swing on the inside--it would be darling to hang in your craft room or a little girls room!!!!! I can't wait to see the future post for this project!!! Good Luck!!

Oh my gosh! I also found a birdhouse this weekend. Will post next week though. I love both of those. I would make some shelves for the CD rack and stack all kinds of craft items or vintage treasures. Imagine covering the wood shelves with like a rose print fabric...
