Creativity Pennant Banner

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these Close To My Heart chipboard banners. Each package comes with 8 chipboard pennants (7"x6" which is a good size) and they are only $5.95. I've been wanting to make one for my craftroom.... because I'm so into them right now. Here's how I did it.
Each package comes with 8 chipboard pennants, and jump rings.

I use a liquid glue to attach the background paper, then I use a sanding block to "clean up" the edges of the chipboard. It's much faster then trying to cut your paper perfectly to fit. You can see in the below picture how the two bottom pendents have been sanded, and look perfect.
I like to use a neutral brown (Close To My Heart Desert Sand) to shabby up all the edges.
I cut the letters out using my Cricut. I cut each letter out 4 times so I can layer them and make them really stand out. I also used the shadow feature on the Cricut to cut the backing for each letter.
I wanted the letters to "pop" off the shadow so I used just regular old school glue and made a bead of it on the back of the letters and let it dry. That made a little lift once I attached the letters to the shadow.
You can see that lift in the picture below.
I embellished with torn paper, ribbon,
and flowers cut with the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

I attached the pennants together with ribbon (I like that look better then the jump rings) and just used thumb tacks to hang it from the wall. It's not at all heavy so it's very easy to hang.
